Chlorine demand is simply the difference between the chlorine applied and the chlorine remaining. For example, if you apply 8 ppm of chlorine to the water and have 3 ppm left then you had a small demand of 5 ppm which has been satisfied. But what if you had a much bigger demand than 5 ppm?
